Personnel & Selection Criteria

F.G.S. has established very high standards for all the staff it employs. Specialist management and personnel are required either to have a University degree in the field used or to come from the Armed Forces, the Cyprus Police or the Special Security Services, in which he has served successfully.

All other staff and especially guardians must meet the following criteria:

1. Be physically and mentally healthy. Before assigning any service all staff undergo medical examinations, which are repeated each year.

2. Have a white criminal record. The company verifies with a series of investigations that its personnel are not charged with criminal activity, nor have they been involved in illegal activities or actions against the community.

3. Have at least a high school diploma and know English at a level that he or she can talk to.

4. The men have successfully completed their military service and have not been excluded from the reserve for mental or physical illness.

5. Have a written statement that he has been trained by the company in matters of personnel and facilities safety, counterterrorism, traffic control, etc., as well as first aid and fire protection items.

6. They have obtained a permit to practice the profession of guardian or private guardian under law N.125 (I) / 2007 – article 25 (In case you don’t have a Security License, a Security License will be made in cooperation with the company).

In addition to the above the company applies very strict rules of control and discipline of its personnel. All guards are under continuous and permanent Administrative Control and are immediately replaced if they do not fulfill their duties.

Upon their recruitment, Security Guards receive training in self-defense and psychological preparation for emergencies, as well as First Aid training. This training is repeated every year for self-defense and every three years for First Aid.

3. PATHOLOGIST’S MEDICAL OPINION (by government doctor).
4. MEDICAL OPINION OF A PSYCHIATOR (by a government doctor).
5. HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.
6. IDENTIFICATION COPY.
7. RECENT CRIMINAL CLEAN CREDIT CERTIFICATE (for residents of foreign countries, if they have been resident in Cyprus for 6 months or more, they are entitled to get it from any police station here).
8. THE FORM OF REGISTRATION IN THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS.
(for residents outside of Cyprus).
9. ARMY RELEASE PAPERS (STRATOLOGY OFFICE – TYPE A PAPER)
(foreigners do not need to provide it).
10. LICENSE IX FOR EVERYONE THAT DECLARES THEY HAVE.
11. SECURITY TRAINING DIPLOMA (SECURITY AND PRIVATE SECURITY).
12. FIRST AID DIPLOMA.
